Former Kenyan presidential candidate Mohammed Abduba Dida has returned to public life with a completely new identity — not as a politician, but as a podcaster – didaglobalnetwork
After being released from an Illinois prison, Dida is now using his Dida Global Network podcast to share messages about unity, humanity, and faith.
Dida was paroled on April 3, 2025, after serving part of a 7-year sentence at the Big Muddy Correctional Centre in Illinois. Records show he will finish the rest of his sentence outside prison until his official release date on April 3, 2029.
He had been convicted of two offences: stalking and transmitting threats (2 years), and aggravated stalking plus violating a restraining order (5 years).

Now 50 years old, Dida lives in Minnesota, where he is rebuilding his life. His wife, Amina Liban, told the Daily Nation that he is working to revive Dida Foundation International, a charity he registered in 2017. He is also looking for office space in Minnesota to restart its operations.
The foundation appears on Charity Navigator, but the evaluation site says it cannot review its impact yet due to limited available data.
However, Dida’s most active project today is his podcast. Through the Dida Global Network, he shares simple, faith-based messages centered on one idea:
that all humans are one family under one God, united through common ancestors — Adam and Eve.
His TikTok account, though still small, also focuses on themes of survival, coexistence, and how humanity can live in peace.
In 2024, while still in prison, Dida filed a lawsuit claiming his rights were violated because he was denied access to educational and rehabilitation programs. This battle may have shaped his new direction. Instead of returning to politics, Dida now seems determined to build a digital platform focused on unity and personal growth.
While it remains unclear how his foundation will operate in the future, his online presence shows a clear shift. Dida is positioning himself less as a political figure and more as a motivational and spiritual voice hoping to influence a global audience.
