The meeting, attended by former officials from the Governor Issa Timamy-led ANC, emphasized aligning priorities, fostering collaboration, and outlining actionable steps to enhance the party’s operations.
Key attendees included:
- ANC Executive Director Nicodemus Bore

- Directors from both parties
“The retreat aimed to ensure a unified approach to achieving organizational goals during this transition,” UDA stated.
The UDA-ANC merger was officially announced on Friday, January 17, 2025, during a ceremony at State House. Speaking at the event, UDA National Chairperson Cecily Mbarire confirmed that the new party would undergo significant changes, including updates to its logo and symbols.
“The UDA party and ANC have merged under the UDA name, incorporating ANC’s identity symbols into the logo, imagery, and branding,” Mbarire noted.
