President William Ruto’s UDA party has faced a major blow after more than 89 politicians from Embu County announced they are leaving the party. The ward representatives said they are quitting due to neglect and lack of support from the party leadership.
The politicians revealed they will soon join a new political party, just days after meeting former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at his home in Wamunyoro. This move is seen as a big setback for President Ruto as he prepares for the 2027 general elections.
