Jennifer Lopez reportedly refused to pay Bruno Mars’ “ridiculous” multi-million-dollar fee to perform at her planned wedding to Alex Rodriguez.
For context, Jennifer and Alex got engaged in March 2019 after two years of dating. However, they called off their engagement in March 2021 before tying the knot.
Still, celebrity wedding planner Marcy Blum revealed that Jennifer was actively planning her wedding and had a specific star performer in mind for the big day.

Marcy shared on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast that Jennifer wanted Bruno Mars to perform but changed her mind due to the “extortionate” cost. Marcy, who didn’t sign an NDA, explained, “We just worked with him, and he’s five.”
“Million?” podcast host Michael Bosstick clarified. “Just to perform for the night?”
Marcy responded, “The night?! You get 45 minutes, you get an hour.”
Jennifer reportedly found the fee outrageous, telling her planner, “Don’t be ridiculous.”
Bruno Mars’ high price tag, estimated at $5 million for a short performance, ultimately ruled him out as an option for the wedding.
This glimpse into Jennifer’s planning process highlights the jaw-dropping costs often associated with celebrity weddings.
