Como 1907 Shock Juventus with Clinical 2–0 Victory in Turin

Juventus suffered a disappointing 2–0 home defeat to Como 1907 at the Allianz Stadium in a result that reinforces the visitors’ reputation as one of the surprises of the Serie A season.

The match began with Juventus attempting to assert early dominance through possession and territorial control. However, it was Como who struck first. In the 11th minute, Mërgim Vojvoda capitalized on space inside the area and finished confidently to give the visitors an early advantage.

Juventus responded with urgency, pushing numbers forward and increasing their share of possession. Loïs Openda and Kenan Yildiz both tested the goalkeeper, but clear-cut opportunities remained scarce. Como’s defensive organization limited space centrally, forcing Juventus into speculative efforts from distance.

As frustration grew, the home side struggled to find rhythm in the final third. Tactical fouls from Como disrupted attacking sequences and slowed Juventus’ buildup.

After halftime, Juventus intensified their search for an equalizer. Teun Koopmeiners came closest when his header struck the post following a corner, momentarily lifting the energy inside the stadium.

Yet Como remained composed. In the 61st minute, a swift counterattack exposed Juventus’ defensive gaps. Maxence Caqueret finished clinically from inside the box, doubling the lead and placing the Bianconeri in a difficult position.

Despite further substitutions aimed at injecting creativity and pace, Juventus lacked the finishing quality required to stage a comeback. Attempts from Jeremie Boga and Jonathan David failed to trouble the scoreboard.

Como managed the final stages professionally, defending with discipline and maintaining composure under pressure. The victory strengthens their standing in Serie A and confirms their status as one of the season’s most resilient sides.

For Juventus, the defeat raises concerns about efficiency in attack and consistency at home as the league campaign progresses.
