Marianne Kilonzi, 43, described as a “bubbly and lovely” woman, has been identified as the victim of a fatal attack in her southeast London apartment.
Emergency services rushed to her flat on Argyll Road, Woolwich, around 5:25 PM on Friday after reports of an incident. Marianne was found with blunt force trauma injuries but was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
A neighbor shared, “We are all devastated. She was a very bubbly, lovely lady.” Another added, “She was a very positive person. We just don’t know how this could have happened. There was never any trouble at the flat.”
Details Surrounding the Incident
Residents revealed Marianne had lived in the flat for two years and had recently been visited frequently by a man. Luxury three-bedroom apartments in the area are valued at approximately £600,000.
Police investigations include forensics examining a blue Ford in the parking area and searches in the bin storage area. CCTV reportedly captured a man discarding an item close to the time of the attack.
Residents claimed they heard “blood-curdling screams” and alerted authorities. One neighbor mentioned, “An officer told us we were safe because the suspect had left the country.”

A police spokesperson stated:
“Officers attended a residential address in Argyll Road, SE18, around 17:25 on Friday, 17 January, following concerns for the welfare of the occupant. Sadly, Marianne’s body was discovered. No arrests have been made at this time.”
