Manchester United vs Tottenham: Europa League Final 2025 Set for All-English Showdown in Bilbao

Manchester United booked their spot in the Europa League Final after a commanding performance against Athletic Bilbao, winning 7–1 on aggregate.
In the second leg at Old Trafford, manager Rúben Amorim’s side sealed a 4–1 victory, with substitute Mason Mount scoring twice — a feat that made him the first United substitute to score a brace in a European knockout match since David Beckham in 2003.

United are now targeting their second Europa League title in eight years, having last lifted the trophy in 2017 under José Mourinho. A victory in Bilbao would not only add to the club’s rich European history but also secure their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

🔥 Tottenham’s Road to Bilbao

Tottenham Hotspur reached the Europa League Final after defeating Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt with an aggregate score of 5–1.
In the second leg, Dominic Solanke and Pedro Porro found the back of the net to seal a 2–0 win.

Manager Ange Postecoglou praised his players’ composure and commitment, calling the upcoming clash against Manchester United “a huge opportunity to bring European silverware back to North London.”

Tottenham last tasted European glory in 1984, when they lifted the UEFA Cup. Winning in Bilbao would end a 41-year wait for continental success.

🏆 What’s at Stake in the Europa League Final 2025

Beyond the silverware, this final carries Champions League implications.
Under UEFA’s updated qualification rules, six English teams could feature in the 2025–26 Champions League.
If Manchester United or Tottenham win the Europa League but finish outside the Premier League’s top five, they would still qualify automatically — potentially giving England an extra Champions League slot.

🌍 A Historic All-English Final in Bilbao

The San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao will host what promises to be one of the most exciting Europa League Finals in recent memory.
Both clubs have passionate fan bases, world-class players, and everything to play for.
Whether it’s Manchester United seeking redemption or Tottenham chasing long-awaited glory, fans around the world will be watching closely to see which English side will conquer Europe.
