Someone starting in Ngong Town, by contrast, should also seriously consider the Southern Bypass side rather than travelling towards central Nairobi merely to reach the Expressway.
Can You Travel From Ngong Road to JKIA by Matatu?
Yes, but this is better understood as a connecting public transport journey rather than one continuous Ngong Road service.
Ngong Road has numerous matatu routes.
For example:

Where Should Public Transport Passengers Connect?
This depends on the starting point and the chosen route.
A passenger could travel towards central Nairobi and connect to a service heading towards Embakasi or the airport side of the city.
Alternatively, someone beginning farther along Ngong Road may choose a different interchange rather than travelling all the way into the CBD.

The important rule is not to assume that a vehicle serving Embakasi or the JKIA area necessarily takes passengers directly to their airport terminal.

Someone travelling from Ngong Town by public transport may need to make more than one connection before reaching the airport.
