Moi University, one of Kenya's oldest and most prestigious higher learning institutions, is facing an unprecedented crisis that has raised serious questions about the state of public universities in the country. Founded in 1984 and named after the country’s second president, Daniel arap Moi, the institution was initially envisioned as a beacon of academic excellence, producing some of Kenya's top professionals, educators, and leaders.
