Boda Boda Operator in Busia Commits Suicide After Fight With Friend

A 21-year-old man from Bulemia village in Bunyala West, Budalang’i Constituency, Busia County, has tragically died by suicide.

The deceased, identified as Wilberforce Kadima, was a boda boda operator in the area. According to Bunyala OCPD Isaiah Mose, Kadima had an altercation with a colleague, which reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation.

“The deceased was involved in a disagreement with a colleague, which later turned into a fight. The incident is currently under investigation to establish what led him to take such a drastic step,” OCPD Mose stated.

Kadima’s body was found hanging from a rope, and authorities have since moved it to the Port Victoria Mortuary as investigations continue.

This unfortunate event highlights the need for mental health awareness and conflict resolution mechanisms, especially within close-knit communities. Stay tuned to Metros for updates on this developing story.
