Emirates will deploy its Airbus A350 on the Dubai–Nairobi route from October 25, 2026, bringing the airline’s newest aircraft type and its Premium Economy cabin to Kenya for the first time.
The A350 will operate Emirates flights EK717 and EK718 between Dubai International Airport and Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), making Nairobi the 32nd destination in the Emirates network to receive the aircraft.
The deployment comes as Emirates strengthens its presence in Kenya. The Dubai-based airline increased its Nairobi operation to three daily flights in July, giving passengers more connections through Dubai to destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.
Premium Economy comes to Kenya
One of the biggest changes for Nairobi passengers will be the introduction of Emirates Premium Economy.
The Airbus A350 serving Nairobi will accommodate 298 passengers across Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
Business Class features a 1-2-1 configuration, giving every passenger direct aisle access, while Premium Economy provides passengers with an option positioned between the airline’s Business and Economy products.

Emirates expands Nairobi operations
The arrival of the A350 follows Emirates’ decision to introduce a third daily Nairobi service in July 2026.
The airline now operates 21 passenger flights each week between Nairobi and Dubai, significantly increasing capacity on one of Kenya’s major international air corridors.
