Leeds United responded in the second half. Lukas Nmecha scored from the penalty spot in the 67th minute, reducing the deficit and providing momentum for the visitors. Noah Okafor then equalised for Leeds in the 73rd minute, completing the comeback and ensuring the points were shared.
Chelsea made key substitutions during the match. Pedro Neto replaced Estevao in the 63rd minute, while a double change saw Liam Delap and Wesley Fofana come on for Andrey Santos and Josh Acheampong in the 78th minute. Leeds United made a single change, bringing on Noah Okafor for Sebastian Bornauw in the 55th minute.
Discipline played a role in the game. Chelsea’s Malo Gusto received a yellow card in the 8th minute, and Josh Acheampong followed in the 15th minute. Leeds’ James Justin received a yellow card in the 45th minute. In total, five or more yellow cards were shown over the course of the match.
Chelsea created late chances, including a stoppage-time header from Joao Pedro that narrowly went over the crossbar. Despite these efforts and overall possession dominance, the Blues were unable to find a winning goal.
The draw means both teams share a point in the Premier League standings, with Chelsea showing attacking control but failing to convert chances, and Leeds demonstrating resilience and clinical finishing to earn a deserved point.
