LIVE TRAFFIC AND WEATHER UPDATE
Motorists using major roads across Nairobi are experiencing significant delays this morning as congestion continues to build on key commuter routes leading into and around the Central Business District (CBD). Heavy traffic has reduced travel speeds on several roads, with Moi Avenue recording the slowest movement.
According to the latest traffic update, Moi Avenue is experiencing severe congestion with vehicles moving at an average speed of 5 km/h. Racecourse Road is also heavily affected, with traffic averaging 8 km/h, while motorists travelling from the Globe Roundabout Flyover to River Road are moving at approximately 10 km/h.
Traffic remains heavy on Ring Road Ngara, Loita Street (10 km/h), Lunga Lunga Road (11 km/h), and Uhuru Highway, where vehicles are averaging 13 km/h. Meanwhile, Jogoo Road is recording moderate traffic conditions with relatively better movement at 21 km/h.
Commuters are advised to allow extra travel time, especially when heading into the CBD during the morning rush hour. Where possible, motorists should consider alternative routes to avoid lengthy delays.
