NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 3 — Nairobi is expected to experience a warm and largely dry Thursday, with a cool and partly cloudy morning giving way to sunny intervals during the afternoon as temperatures rise to around 26°C.
The latest forecast from the Kenya Meteorological Department indicates that temperatures will start at around 14°C before rising steadily through the morning. By late morning, temperatures are expected to approach 20°C, climbing further during the afternoon.
At around 1 p.m., temperatures could reach 23°C, before peaking at approximately 26°C at around 3 p.m. Conditions should remain relatively warm towards 5 p.m., when temperatures are expected to be around 24°C.
The weather means Nairobi residents heading to work or school early Thursday will experience considerably cooler conditions than those travelling during the afternoon.
Little rain expected in Nairobi Thursday
Significant rainfall is not expected across Nairobi during much of Thursday, with the prevailing forecast pointing towards a predominantly dry day.
The relatively favourable conditions should reduce the likelihood of widespread weather-related disruption on major roads, although normal rush-hour congestion is still expected.

By Monday, September 7, temperatures are expected to remain broadly within the same range, with cool conditions early in the day and warmer weather developing towards the afternoon.
